Dappled Mooshroom

Dappled Mooshrooms are dappled mushroom variants of a Mooshroom. They are exclusive to the Dappled Grove biome, and are a source of dappled mushrooms, leather, milk, and pumpkin stew.

Spawning

Dappled Mooshrooms spawn in Dappled Grove biomes in herds of 1-3 on coarse dirt. They do not naturally spawn in any other biome.

Dappled Mooshrooms have a 5% chance to spawn as a baby.

Breeding

Two Dappled Mooshrooms can be bred when wheat is fed to both of them. Dappled Mooshrooms can breed with Red and Brown Mooshrooms.

Breeding two Dappled Mooshrooms will output a baby Dappled Mooshroom.

Breeding one Dappled and one Red Mooshroom will output a 50% chance of a baby Red Mooshroom, and a 50% chance of a baby Dappled Mooshroom.

Breeding one Dappled and one brown Mooshroom will output a 50% chance of a baby Brown Mooshroom, and a 50% chance of a baby Dappled Mooshroom.

Feeding wheat to a baby Dappled Mooshroom shortens its growing time by 5% of the remaining time. Baby Dappled Mooshrooms do not have mushrooms on their backs, they will appear once the baby grows to an adult.

10-15 XP will be granted on the ground once a successful breed attempt is complete.

Behavior

Dappled Mooshrooms have the same behavior as a Mooshroom, and therefore, a Cow. They will avoid cliffs, fire, and lava, but will not attempt to avoid water.

Dappled Mooshrooms will wander wherever they spawn, stopping occasionally to eat grass.

Baby Dappled Mooshrooms will follow an adult Dappled Mooshroom.

Dappled Mooshrooms follow a player holding a shelf mushroom.

Dappled Mooshrooms can be tamed when fed shelf mushrooms. The maximum amount of shelf mushrooms a Dappled Mooshroom can eat before being tamed is 27.

When tamed, they will simply just follow the player. When said player is out of range, they will continue wandering, but in the direction of the player that tamed it.

When an adult is fed different pumpkins, it will output different Pumpkin Stews.
