Light Lurker

Model History

It was originally going to be an underground jaw that would bite upwards and not expose its body, with its mouth on the main cube, but I changed the jaw to add it to the front and added the back parts. Its legs are pure light rods.

Variants

Behavior

Passive. Spawns at the bottom of all deep oceans at a 5% chance, but spawns in Dark Oceans very commonly. Can be picked up in a bucket. Is very slow on land but walks at normal speed in water. It acts as a light source when fed Sea Pickles after taming it. This light source form will last for 10 minutes, with a cooldown of 5 minutes before it can be activated again. Can be tamed with Sea Pickles, it can take 5-16 Sea Pickles to tame. It will follow the Player, but it can also sit and roam. It will give water breathing when you feed it gravel.

  • 1-3 Gravel: 2 minutes of Water Breathing
  • 4-8 Gravel: 4 minutes of Water Breathing
  • 9-15 Gravel: 6 minutes of Water Breathing
  • 16-20 Gravel: 10 minutes of Water Breathing
  • You can only feed it up to 20 Gravel, then it has a cooldown of 25 minutes.

It will attack Guardians, Elder Guardians, Zombie Nautiluses, and Drowned when it is attacked. Guardians and Drowned will attempt to pathfind to a Light Lurker to attack it. Light Lurkers have 35 health. When feeding Light Lurkers light sources, it will do different things. Only tamed Light Lurkers can eat, and only the player who tamed it can feed it.

  • Torch: Hostile mobs will avoid it for 1-2 minutes. Has a 10-minute cooldown.
  • Soul Torch: Becomes aggressive to any mob the Player hits for 5 minutes, with a 6-minute cooldown.
  • Copper Torch:
  • Lantern: Drops/produces 1-5 Light Rods.
  • Soul Lantern: Whenever it dies after eating a Soul Lantern, it will be revived. Has a 40-minute cooldown.
  • All Copper Lanterns: Drops 1-4 Corroded Copper Ingots.
  • Sea Lantern: Its attack strength will be boosted underwater, and it will swim faster. Has a 10-minute cooldown.
  • Shroomlight:
  • Glowstone: Drops/produces 1-3 Phosphor.
  • All Froglights: Will give all nearby players Jump Boost for 7 minutes. Has a 10-minute cooldown
  • End Rod:
  • Jack-o-Lantern: Drowned, Guardians, Elder Guardians, and Zombie Nautiluses will not notice it for 10 minutes. 30-minute cooldown.
  • Redstone Lamp:
  • All Copper Bulbs:
  • Candle: Will increase the light level produced from it when the Light Lurker glows. Lasts for 15 minutes, has a 12-minute cooldown.
  • Glow Lichen: Will illuminate nearby ores to show the player where they are. This lasts 4 minutes. 10-minute cooldown.
  • Redstone Torch: Will be able to activate Redstone for 7 minutes. Has a 5-minute cooldown.
  • Amethyst Cluster: Drops/produces 1-20 Glow Amethyst Shards.
  • Magma Block: Will get Fire Resistance and will also give the player that tamed it Fire Resistance, both for 6 minutes. Has a 5-minute cooldown.
  • Firefly Bush: At nighttime, it will glow very bright and repel all hostile mobs for 15 minutes. Only works at sunset until midnight.

Light Rods are used for crafting Lumen tools, with the Light Rods replacing the sticks, and Phosphor replaces the material.

Glow Amethyst Shards are used for crafting Glow Amethyst blocks.

Corroded Copper is used for crafting Corroded Copper armor and tools.

Animations

  • Walk is for when it walks
  • Attack is for when it gets attacked by a Drowned or Guardian and then attacks back
  • Eat is for when it is fed something, plays an eating sound
